News: Hafizh goes back to school, in sharing session with fans

Fresh out of school and barely 18 years of age, Hafizh Syahrin, rider for the Yamaha Syntium Moto Raceline team recently visited Sekolah Menengah Taman Maluri, Kuala Lumpur and Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Seri Megah, Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur. His credibility as a young up-and-coming Champion was visible through the roaring crowd as he stood in front of them hoping to share some of his experiences as a young rider.
School children sat in front of him listening intensely – settling into their seats while Hafizh shared some of his experiences that made him who he is today. Secondary school students were able to connect with this young rider who is in the same age group with them and look up to him as a motorsport personality and championship contender in regional motorcycle racing series.
Hafizh Syahrin began by saying: “We should always chase after our dreams. Dream high, aim high and hard work is the path to success and to achieving our dreams.” His advice may sound cliché, however, he made it sound sincere and promising. Letting everyone know that their dreams are never too small or never too insignificant to chase after and making it into reality.
The young rider affirmed that while we chase our dreams, we should always have our feet on the ground. “Families are our backbone; we should never neglect what they think and how they feel. Getting their consent in what you do is the ultimate blessing you will ever achieve in your life,” said Hafizh Syahrin.
He continued with a brief background on his racing career, which began at an early age with help from his father. The enjoyment of being on a bike was what propelled, his father to give Hafizh a pocket bike to start honing in his riding skill. “A pocket bike may look small, but it helps a rider navigate and learn the tricks of riding an actual bike,” notes Hafizh.
The rider also stressed: “Commitment to what you do is the key that will help you strive for what you want to achieve in your life.” Hafizh went on to explain his fitness regiment, which consists of a combination of hard physical training and eating right, the latter playing a big part in shaping his strength and character. Being committed to what you are doing and holding on to it will surely make your dreams come true. As Hafizh says “No dreams can come true without a little hard work, determination and commitment.”
He went on to ask his fans to always think about safety first, adding, “when I ride, I put on a full set of protective gear in order to ensure my safety, and I only race in the vicinity of the circuit and never on the road,” Hafizh said firmly.
“Safety is first and foremost the importance in everyone’s lives, no one should take it for granted and think that they would never get hurt”, he continued. Holding a strong belief that one’s safety is the means to everything and we should never put anyone’s lives in jeopardy, he adds, “racing is meant to be on the circuit, not on the road.”
The young rider ended his talk by noting that: “We should never neglect our studies in pursuit of our dreams. Finishing off school and getting good grades will make you realise what kind of person you want to be. I am glad I have a good support system to keep me grounded. Lastly, good luck in your future endeavours, stay true to yourself and don’t break any rules.”
With the impressive list of accolades to his name and the recognition from the media, Hafizh ended his visit swarmed by his young fans who rushed to get his autograph and a picture with the ever obliging, gracious and smiling 18-year old.
Like your fans, we too wish you the best of luck Hafizh!
