Drivers' Standing - After 18 Rounds
Season 2008

After 18 rounds of the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship complete, the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers were able to significantly improve on their finishing positions from last year. With one race win and a number of podium finishes this season, Polish driver Robert Kubica had an outside chance at the title right up to the Japanese Grand Prix. Nevertheless, sharing 75 points with Kimi Räikkönen right to the end, the Pole capped an incredible season in fourth position. His German teammate Nick Heidfeld, meanwhile closed out his season in sixth, after accumulating 60 points..
