*The top 8 drivers scoring points from the PETRONAS Malaysian Grand Prix were only awarded half the points (5 - 4 - 3 - 2.5 - 2 - 1.5 - 1 -0.5) from the standard points normally awarded (10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1). This was due to extraordinary circumstances that forced race officials to declare the race over with just over 50% of the race complete.
