After 8 Rounds

With the outcome of the drivers' title for the 2009 Formula Nippon Championship already decided at Autopolis in August, the battle for second & third place honours went down to the wire at the season finale round at Sugo. The round proved a triumphant one for PETRONAS Team TOM'S driver Andre Lotterer who took home a second place finish to emerge third overall with teammate Kazuya Oshima is 9th, and 2nd in the Rookie's standings.

In the team standings, the drivers' points-finish in the final race of the season was also enough for the team to secure overall second place from the Lawson Impul Team, who finish third.
