Consistently scoring points in each of the nine round in the 2009 Super GT Series in addition to a first win and four other podium finishes, the LEXUS TEAM PETRONAS TOM'S successfully defended their team championship title on Sunday at the final round of the Super GT Series at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. Going into the round, the team to finish within the top three for them to wrap up the team title. A second place finish on Sunday was enough to earn the team 18 points to add to the total points tally, 10 points clear of the Autobacs Racing Team Aguri and 11 points ahead of the NISMO outfit.
