STES08: The PETRONAS Syntium Team's BMW Z4M Coupe
 
2008 will see the PETRONAS Syntium Team head back north to participate in its second season of the Super Taikyu Endurance Series. On the back of a successful debut campaign, along with a beefed-up driver line up, the team will field two BMW Z4M Coupes for the 2008 season, using its experience from the previous season.

2007 will see the PETRONAS Syntium Team shift its focus to a new championship, fronting a new driver line-up as well as a new machine. Capitalising on a long racing heritage and experience, the PST will take on the challenge of the Super Taikyu Endurance Series with the BMW Z4M Coupe.

SGT09: The 2009 Super GT Series - A Guide to the season ahead
 
Representing the highest category "Box Car" race with the cars modified and engineered to meet race specifications, the Super GT series finds its roots some 15 years ago with the "All Nippon GT Championship" in 1994. In 2005 the then Japan GT Championship or JGTC was rebranded as the Super GT Series. The series returns in 2009 with 9 rounds including the round at Sepang in June.

Yamaha Factory rider Ben Spies made it count on Saturday afternoon in difficult weather conditions to take third on the grid for Sunday's Grand Prix of Valencia. The Texan completed his fastest lap on a used set of tyres having patiently circled waiting for a gap in the changing weather to put in a qualifying time.
