PETRONAS held a “Majlis Berbuka Puasa” with the media today in appreciation of the support from the local publications and media houses in the country.
The annual function, held at the prestigious Malaysian Petroleum Club (MPC) on Level 42 of the PETRONAS Twin Towers in KLCC, was attended by the ‘who’s who’ of the media industry and was hosted by the CEO of PETRONAS himself, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican.
Among the media's top brass included Datuk Rejal Arbi, Group Editor for Berita Harian, Datuk Khalid Mohd, Group Editor-in-Chief for the Utusan Group, Datuk Ahmad Talib, Group Editor of NSTP and Manja Ismail, Chief News Editor of Berita Harian. Also present were Ahirudin Atan a.k.a Rocky, Editor of Malay Mail and Yamin Vong, Editor of Cars, Bikes & Trucks.
The casual and warm event had always been a top pick amongst the media personnel as it was the only time when members of the media could candidly exchange jokes and friendly gestures with Tan Sri and other PETRONAS subsidiaries CEOs, as well as catch up on the latest happenings within the organisation.
Among the hot topics overheard in discussion were the recent unveiling of the road version FP1 superbike, PETRONAS’ plans for next year’s F1 Demo scheduled in March as well as some current issues relating to its oil and gas business.
For members of the media, the event was also a good time to rekindle the lost passion with the excellent local and western dishes prepared by MPC.
