FPR's new star was advised not to walk on his fractured heel for a total of three weeks.
But, after a week at home in Andorra following last week's surgery to place a pin in his right foot, he expects to be walking again in time to return home to Brisbane, Australia, in time for Christmas.
He said: "I haven't been able to do anything for the last few days except catch up on a few Playstation games that I haven't played for a while!
"I have been told to stay off it for a total of three weeks and I can't even do any work in the water until the stitches come out. So I just have to have a heap of physio and rehabilitation work until I can walk on it again, when everything is expected to be okay."
The injury happened on the final day of Garry's first test on the FP1 at Valencia.
